Dr. Kadijatu Grace Ahene-Kamara, the deputy Minister of Tourism , a licensed psychologist, senior public servant, and global leadership advocate, has officially unveiled a new book titled The Different Kind of Power, a work aimed at redefining leadership through empathy, service, and quiet strength.
Drawing from more than 15 years of experience in psychology, governance, youth mentorship, and post-conflict nation-building, the book challenges traditional leadership narratives that often associate power with control and domination. Instead, it promotes a human-centered leadership framework grounded in dignity, courage, iand ethical responsibility.

According to information released during the announcement, the publication has received recognition from the United States Congress under publications and author recognition. The book is also said to align with international leadership and governance standards promoted by global institutions such as the United Nations, European Union, African Union, and ECOWAS, underscoring its relevance to policy and leadership discourse.
Dr. Ahene-Kamara currently serves as Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs in Sierra Leone. She is also the founder of Psychology of Winning, a mentorship initiative that has supported and inspired more than 5,000 young people across the country.

The Different Kind of Power is expected to feature in leadership forums, academic discussions, policy engagements, and international platforms as part of broader conversations on ethical and transformative leadership.
