Prince of Wales Alumni Foundation (POWSAF) Announces Vacancy for Outreach Officer

The Prince of Wales Alumni Foundation (POWSAF) has announced a job vacancy for the position of Outreach Officer based in Freetown as part of a six-month pilot programme aimed at strengthening alumni engagement and fundraising efforts.

According to the foundation, the position is a contract-based role initially set for three months, with performance evaluations conducted quarterly. The contract may be extended up to a maximum of six months depending on performance outcomes.

The Outreach Officer will be responsible for reaching out to Prince of Wales alumni across Freetown and engaging companies and organizations for support, sponsorships, and partnerships. Corporate partners will receive logo placement on the POWSAF website in exchange for their support. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage external sponsors beyond the Prince of Wales alumni network.

Additional duties include developing and maintaining a database of alumni in Freetown, supporting marketing and fundraising initiatives, assisting in event coordination and communications, and maintaining accurate membership and outreach records.

POWSAF stated that compensation for the role will be commission- and bonus-based, tied to weekly sign-ups and donations received. Approved expenses, including transportation, will be covered. Monthly performance reviews will assess key performance indicators such as the number of new members recruited and the total funds raised from memberships and corporate sponsors. Performance-based bonuses will be awarded based on results.

The foundation is seeking a motivated and community-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates with previous experience in fundraising or outreach activities will have an added advantage.
