The National Secretary General of the All People’s Congress (APC), Lansana Dumbuya, has re-delegated his administrative duties to the National Organising Secretary, Chernor Kamara, while he is engaged in a court trial.

In a letter, Dumbuya stated that he is currently involved in an assignment that temporarily impedes his ability to perform the functions of National Secretary General and, by extension, Chief Administrative Officer of the APC Secretariat, as outlined in Article 50 of the 2022 APC Constitution.

He wrote: “During the pendency of my return and in a bid to enhance fluidity in the administrative machinery of the Secretariat, you are hereby mandated to temporarily take over the reins and act as Chief Administrative Officer of the Secretariat.”

The re-delegation is intended to ensure the smooth operation of the party’s administrative activities during his absence.
