PPRC Lifts Suspension on APC After Fine Payment

The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has confirmed receiving payment of Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones (NLe 350,000) from the leadership of the All People’s Congress (APC) Party on Wednesday, 11th February 2026.

The fine was initially imposed on Monday, 2nd February 2026, following a contravention of Section 39(1)(c) and (d) of the Political Parties Act No. 25 of 2022 by members of the APC, namely National Secretary General Lansana Dumbuya Esq. and party member Zainab Sheriff.

In a statement, the PPRC expressed appreciation to the APC for complying with the fine and urged the party to continue ensuring that its members, supporters, and operatives conduct themselves in accordance with the law.

The Commission emphasized that adherence to statutory obligations is crucial for maintaining accountability and promoting democratic principles among political parties.
