The Office of the Administrator and Registrar General (OARG) has announced that all its offices, including regional branches in Bo, Kenema, Makeni, and Port Loko, will be closed to the public from Tuesday, 23rd December 2025 to Monday, 5th January 2026.

The closure, according to a public notice from OARG, is intended to facilitate the annual end-of-year break and allow for internal administrative processes. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, 6th January 2026.

The office has urged members of the public to complete urgent transactions prior to the closure, including the processing and lodging of registrable instruments. Lawyers are specifically advised to ensure all documents are submitted and collected on or before 23rd December 2025.

OARG also reminded the public that the 10-working-day extension for signing all outstanding Conveyances for 2025 will end on 23rd January 2026.

Civil marriage ceremonies will still be conducted on specific scheduled dates during the holiday period, and couples are advised to attend the Marriage Registry on their assigned dates.

The Administrator and Registrar General’s office expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation.
