His Excellency President Brigadier General (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio has announced a series of new governmental appointments, subject to parliamentary approval where required.

The announcement was made official in a public notice issued on Wednesday, October 30, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Barba B. Fortune.

The new appointments target the leadership of the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) and the Sierra Leone National Shipping Agency

1. Mr. John V. Rogers – Director General, National Disaster Management Agency

2. Sulaiman B. Sowa (Esq.) – Deputy Director General, National Disaster Management Agency

3. Dr. Susan Roberts – Deputy Commissioner, National Commission for Social Action

4. Mr. Noah Mansaray – Chairman, Sierra Leone National Shipping Agency

5. Mr. Gideon Gbappy – Board Member, Sierra Leone National Shipping Agency
