The Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma (E.B.K.) Trophy Children’s Foundation has today, Thursday, 4th September 2025, donated school learning materials to children in Bombali District ahead of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The donation ceremony took place in Makeni City and was attended by parents, pupils, and school administrators from across the district.

Presenting the items on behalf of Hon. Chericoco, Chief Sponsor and Initiator of the Foundation, Hon. Mohamed Papa Bangura explained that the initiative aims to support education and ease the financial burden on parents during challenging economic times. “Providing these materials is part of Hon. Chericoco’s commitment to empowering the next generation,” he said.

Mohamed Milton Koroma, Coordinator of the EBK Trophy Children’s Foundation in Bombali, reiterated the Foundation’s consistent support for less privileged children over the years. He described Hon. Chericoco as a “silent doer” who has been dedicated to this program for a long time.

Parents and beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the donation. Mrs. Aminata Turay, a single mother of three, described the support as “a sigh of relief,” noting her concerns about affording school supplies. Beneficiary Kadiatu Koroma thanked the Foundation and pledged to use the materials wisely while striving to excel in her studies.

The ceremony highlighted the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to education and its role in supporting vulnerable families in Bombali District.
