The University of Sierra Leone (USL) has announced that its online application portal for the 2025/2026 academic year will officially open on Wednesday, 20th August 2025.
The application process covers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the university’s constituent institutions — Fourah Bay College (FBC), the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), as well as the School of Postgraduate Studies.
In addition to the regular programmes, the university is also inviting applications for its e-learning master’s programmes in Business Administration, Journalism & Media Studies, Communication & Development Studies, and Public Relations & Marketing Communication.
Application fees are set at NLe 500 for undergraduate courses and NLe 600 for postgraduate courses. Payments can be made at the Union Trust Bank, Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Commerce and Mortgage Bank (CMB), Rokel Commercial Bank, or their regional branches nationwide.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the official USL website (www.usl.edu.sl) for detailed information on entry requirements for various programmes, faculties, and departments. Students awaiting the release of their WASSCE results are also eligible to apply.
The deadline for the purchase and submission of undergraduate applications is Saturday, 20th September 2025.
USL further reminds prospective applicants that Diploma and Certificate courses remain terminal programmes. However, graduates from these courses who wish to progress to degree programmes must first satisfy the university’s minimum entry requirements.
