The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has formally announced the publication of the All People’s Congress (APC) Internal Elections Rules and Regulations in the Sierra Leone Gazette No. 67 Vol. CLXVI.

According to the Commission, the publication is in line with Section 25 of the Political Parties Act, 2022 (Act No. 25 of 2022) and will remain open for public scrutiny and objections for 30 days—from Wednesday, 13th August to Thursday, 11th September 2025.

In a press release issued on 13th August 2025, the PPRC stated that during this period, both members of the APC and the general public are invited to submit any objections to the published regulations. Objections can be submitted in writing to the PPRC Head Office on OAU Drive, Tower Hill, Freetown, or at its regional offices in Bo, Kenema, Makeni, and Port Loko. Electronic submissions can be sent via email to info@pprc.gov.sl or pprcsierraleone@yahoo.com before the close of business on 11th September 2025.

The Commission further noted that copies of the gazetted Internal Elections Rules and Regulations are available for purchase at the Sierra Leone Government Bookshop on Wallace Johnson Street, Freetown, and can also be accessed on its official website: www.pprc.gov.sl.

The review period, the PPRC emphasized, is a critical step in ensuring transparency and inclusivity in the APC’s internal election processes, allowing for public engagement before the rules are formally adopted.
