Hon. Bai Mahmoud Bangura (BMB) has formally resigned from his position as the National Organising Secretary of the All People’s Congress (APC), signaling his intention to explore new political ambitions.

His resignation was conveyed in an official letter addressed to the APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., with a request that it be brought to the attention of the National Advisory Committee (NAC) and the wider membership of the party.

In the letter, Hon. Bangura cited Article 56 (d) of the APC Constitution 2022 as the basis for his decision to step down with immediate effect. He expressed his appreciation to the party leadership and members for the opportunity to serve, stating, “I sincerely thank and appreciate the leadership and the entire membership of the party for the opportunity to serve in this capacity. I remain grateful and hopeful.”

Hon. Bangura’s exit marks a notable shift within the APC as it navigates internal restructuring and prepares for future political contests. His next political move is yet to be disclosed, but his departure has already sparked speculation about new realignments in Sierra Leone’s political landscape.
