Both organizations are committed to the highest principles of responsibility and care as Catholic humanitarian institutions. We are aware of the concerns and discussions circulating on social media regarding our reputation.

While we share in your frustration and disappointment, we respectfully ask that neither Caritas Freetown nor our sister organization, Caritas National, be judged solely on the basis of this isolated incident.

The Caritas Family has a longstanding reputation for timely and compassionate humanitarian intervention, and we remain committed to serving the people of Sierra Leone with integrity.
