The highly anticipated Football Gala Competition, organized by the Friends of Jagaban Lumley, officially kicked off at the Grassfield Lumley pitch yesterday. The event, which features 16 teams competing for glory, was launched by the Philanthropist, Business Mogul and APC-Strongman, Sheik Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, alias Jagaban, who performed the ceremonial kick-off.
The competition promises to be intense, with local teams vying for the grand prize of SLL 20,000, while the runner-up will walk away with SLL 10,000. The tournament is designed to promote community engagement, unity, and sportsmanship in the region.
