Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority [SLRSA] has issued a Public Notice on the large number of Government vehicles and motorbikes belonging to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOS) that are plying the roads without legal Status in contravention of Section 3 (1) of the Road Traffic Act 2007 and Regulation 19 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulations 2011..
The Authority further expressed concerned that a large number of drivers of MDAs and
NGOs are driving without valid driving licences which offends Section 16 (1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Act 2007
The Authority inform all MDAS and NGOs that modalities are being worked out in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Police to commence enforcement against unlicensed vehicles and motorbikes, and
unlicensed drivers across the country.
SLRSA urged all to regularise the status of their vehicles and or driving licenses as specified by law.
The Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) is calls for collective action in creating a safe environment for all Road users.
