Dr Matthew Wilson Samura Kamara has continued his tour of the United States with a visit to the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Washington DC. The NDI is the second non-governmental pro-democracy institution he has visited after the Carter Center in Atlanta Georgia past Monday.
Over the years, the NDI, which is an apolitical and non-profit organization that promotes democracy around the world, has been very pivotal in strengthening democratic good governance in Sierra Leone.
At the NDI headquarters, Dr Samura Kamara met with the Senior Associate for Africa, Christopher Fomunyoh and his team. The two men discussed a wide range of issues bordering on democracy and the need for leaders across the world to respect and safeguard individual liberties, good governance, peace and the rule of law. The APC Party Leader and Presidential Candidate was accompanied by other APC party operatives including the Deputy Party Leader, Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh, Lawyer Ady Macauley and Lawyer Frank Kargbo.
