APC Presents New Elected Officials to PPRC

The All Peoples Congress (APC) has today 2nd March 2023 presented the newly elected national party officials to the Political Party Registration Commission (PPRC).

This presentation was done by the newly elected National Secretary General of the party, Lansana Dumbuya Esq. at the PPRC headquarters at Tower Hill Freetown. 

In his statement, the National Secretary General noted that the party’s secretariat is now officially and fully up and running following a very successful National Delegates Conference (convention) adding that all party’s officials have been accordingly asked to go to work in order to ensure every party ofrficial works effectively in his/her capacity for which he/she was elected for as per constitutional mandate.  

He furthered that the party is formidably prepared and ready to take back governance through a democratic and peaceful means adding that violence is never an available option to the party and thereby committed to playing by the rules of the game.

“The All People’s Congress Party (APC) has always taken political power through the ballot box and the June 24th 2023 multitier elections will not be an exception” the APC National Secretary General clearly submitted. 

He concluded that the APC party has also elected a Leader and Presidential Candidate (flagbearer) and that everything is on course to ensuring that the upcoming elections campaigns are undertaken under a peaceful and tolerant atmosphere given the fact that the APC has always been a peaceful and law  abiding party. 

  In his response, the PPRC Chairman, Abdulai Bangurah Esq., started by thanking the Secretary General and the leadership of the APC for according his institution the recognition and respect to present him the new executive.

He said the APC has always been cooperative with the PPRC as they have attended every meeting that the PPRC has invited them to and have participated in all activities the commission has had. The commission recognised the current executive adding that they were fully involved in the entire electoral process from Ward levels to National levels, as mandated by the courts order to supervise the elections and as per their own mandate as a commission to regulate the activities of political parties.

The commission looks forward to more cooperation from the party as well as a good working relationship with the new executive. He assured the leadership that his commission will remain neutral and will seek the interest of all political parties as they as a commission also wants to enjoy goodwill from all parties. 

“We can only function well as a commission when we have goodwill with all political parties, otherwise our job will be meaningless”. He emphasized.
