The vehicle of Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura, CEO of the Owl Newspaper – was vandalized on August 17th 2022, by some unknown persons at his residence in Freetown.
As the matter is now in the hands of the Sierra Leone Police, it’s evident that this barbaric act perpetrated by some ‘unknown persons’ is beyond ordinary theft/robbery. The interior of the vehicle is left completely damaged, important parts of the vehicle are gone and most of the vital cables of the vehicle are ripped to shreds.
Alhaji Dauda describes the incident as unfortunate and added that although vandalism seems to be an individual problem, it is a social phenomenon. Because this problem has ties to the social life and economic situation of the country.
He urges the Sierra Leone Police to act swiftly.
