On Tuesday 8th February, 2022, the National Secretary General of All People’s Congress (APC) has officially re-submitted the party’s new and corrected version of the APC constitution.
Speaking at the PPRC office at Tower Hill in Freetown, APC National Secretary General Ambassador Dr. Osman Foday Yansaneh stated that, they had previously received directives from the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) regarding the party’s new constitution which was unanimously approved by the National Advisory Council (NAC).
He said he is submitting the two copies of the new constitution (the formatted copy and the clean up copy) with a cover letter for onward transmission to the Chairman of the PPRC.
he added that pursuant to directives from the PPRC with regard the APC constitution which was adopted by the party at as national delegates conference, in September, the APC followed strictly the requirements in the directives.
He used the occasion to commend the efforts of all those that contributed immensely to the crafting of the APC new constitution that was unanimously approved by the party delegates and which has now been re-submitted to the PPRC.
Speaking on behalf of the Commission, the Acting Mediation and Programme Mnager, Josephine Panda who received the new APC constitution thanked the APC on behalf of the Chairman and Commissioners of the PPRC for adhering to PPRC directives and that the PPRC would do the needful for the APC to have their new constitution in the shortest possible time.
Some of the people present at the re-submitting event included secretariat officials, Lawyer Ibrahim Sorie, Lawyer Timbo, Youth League President Bai Mahmoud Bangura, Alhaji Galaxy PR Southern Region and a host of other APC dignitaries.
