It could be recalled that after the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) led Government took over the mantle of leadership in Sierra Leone the First Lady, Mrs. Fatima Jabbie Bio was all over the country launching her project “Hands Off our Girls” which received much international support.
However, this press learnt that the Police in Kenema and senior officials of Kenema Government Hospital are currently investigating the District Human Resource Officer of the District Health Medical Team (DHMT) at the Kenema Government Hospital, Delphis V. Dumbuya.
He was dragged to the Kenema Police Station for allegedly penetrating a girl below the age of 18 which residents within his very community described as undermining the First Lady’s Hands Off our Girls project in the district which is a district known for strongly supporting the ideals of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
Sources close to the District Human Resource Officer of the District Health Medical Team (DHMT) at the Kenema Government Hospital, told this press that on the 12th June 2021, the alleged victim (name withhold) was reportedly in the house of the District Human Resource Officer of the District Health Medical Team (DHMT) at the Kenema Government Hospital in the evening hours from 8:00PM to 12:00AM when her parents noticed her disappearance from home and they were told that the alleged victim was in the house of the District Human Resource Officer of the District Health Medical Team (DHMT) at the Kenema Government Hospital Delphis V. Dumbuya.
Reports say the parents decided to visit the house of the accused person where they suspected the girl to be. Sources told this press that the parents knocked at the house of the District Human Resource Officer of the District Health Medical Team (DHMT) at the Kenema Government Hospital Delphis V. Dumbuya but he allegedly refused to open his door and the alleged victim’s parents decided to inform the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) who later invited the suspect to the Kenema Police Station where he was placed into the cell.
This press contacted the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) through ASP Mustapha Konneh who is the Regional Coordinator of the Family Support Unit (FSU) on his cell phone and he referred this Press to one police officer Sandy who told this Press that the said alleged accused person was put on bail because he had a bad health condition.
Speaking to this press the alleged accuse person who is the District Human Resource Officer of the District Health Medical Team (DHMT) at the Kenema Government Hospital Delphis V. Dumbuya in his office at the Kenema Government Hospital denied having any sexual affair with the victim but is instead, dating an SSS 1 pupil at the Door International Academic Secondary School in Kenema and told this press to forget about the story.
However, investigation continues.
