President Bio's Peace Ambassador Arrested in Kenema

A renowned sierra Leonean musician Alhaji Amadu Bah, popularly known as LAJ and currently serving as the country’s Peace Ambassador, was detained by the police in Kenema for allegedly misbehaving towards the Kenema City Mayor Thomas Baio on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Wanjama checkpoint.

It was reported that, LAJ was on his way to Kenema City with his convoy and supporters for an upcoming show that was scheduled for that same evening. However, Mayor Baio reported the incident to the police, citing misconduct. Consequently, the police summoned LAJ for questioning, leading to his overnight detention alongside some of his accompanying police guards.
