The Old Princewaleans Association (OPWA) has congratulated two distinguished members of the Princewalean family following their appointments to key national positions by President Julius Maada Bio.

In a congratulatory message dated August 11, 2026, the Association extended its warm congratulations to Mr. Kerefa A.F. Kargbo, who has been appointed Minister of Finance, and Professor Gibrila Fadlu Deen, who has been appointed Chairman of the Teaching Hospital Complex Administration Board.

OPWA described the appointments as a testament to the dedication, competence and high standards instilled in its members during their time at Prince of Wales School.

The Association expressed confidence that the two appointees would bring their leadership, integrity and commitment to public service to bear in their respective roles and make a positive impact on Sierra Leone.

“As you assume these national responsibilities, we wish you every success in your endeavours,” the Association stated, pledging its continued support and prayers as the two Princewaleans serve the country.

OPWA concluded by wishing Mr. Kargbo and Professor Deen success in their new responsibilities and described their appointments as a source of pride for the wider Princewalean family.
