The University of Sierra Leone (USL), through its Directorate of Communication and International Relations, has announced important dates for the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic year.

According to a public notice issued on Friday, October 24, 2025, the deadline for submitting applications for admission into various programmes across the university’s constituent colleges — Fourah Bay College (FBC), the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), and the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS) — has been set for October 31, 2025.

The university further confirmed that all three colleges will reopen for continuing students on November 1, 2025, marking the official start of academic activities for returning learners.

However, the reopening date for newly admitted students will be announced in due course, the notice stated.

The University Registry encouraged all prospective students to ensure that their applications are submitted before the deadline, while advising continuing students to plan their return accordingly.
