Top Management of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Sierra Leone are set to thrill year 2 Banking and Finance students at IPAM, the University of Sierra Leone in a highly anticipated lecture on Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

The session, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, will be held on the 6th Floor of the Ekundayo Thompson Building. It is expected to offer students practical perspectives on how strategic CRM practices are reshaping the banking landscape in Sierra Leone.

Under the theme “Customer Relationship Management: A Tool for Effective and Efficient Banking Operations in Sierra Leone,” the lecture will feature real-world case studies from UBA, Vult Sierra Leone, and Access Bank. The goal is to deepen students’ understanding of how CRM drives customer satisfaction, fosters loyalty, and contributes to sustainable growth within financial institutions.

The interactive lecture is part of an academic initiative to bridge classroom knowledge with industry realities, giving students access to firsthand experiences from top-level banking executives. Stakeholders believe this engagement will enhance the professional readiness of upcoming graduates and strengthen the link between academia and the financial sector.

UBA’s presence will be seen as a strategic move to inspire future banking professionals by illustrating how customer-centric innovations have transformed service delivery and operational excellence in leading banks across the country.

The course lecturer, Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura, revealed that the choice of this institution was deliberate because UBA Bank recorded the highest profit in 2024. He said the aim was to bring them on board to share insights on how they were able to retain their customers and achieve such a significant profit.
