St. Edward’s Secondary School, Maypark Kingtom, has officially launched a state-of-the-art STEM Innovation Lab, aimed at equipping students with practical skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The launch took place on November 7, 2025, at the school campus.
The new lab features modern computers, robotics and drone kits, high-speed internet, productivity and design software, and digital learning resources—providing students with hands-on experience in innovation and technology.

“This STEM Lab is more than a classroom—it is a bridge to the future,” said Dr. Osman Kargbo, Project Lead. “We are equipping students not just with knowledge, but with the tools to innovate, solve real-world problems, and compete on a global stage.”

The launch ceremony brought together students, educators, alumni, government representatives, and community partners. Attendees witnessed interactive demonstrations, including live drone flights, robotics displays, and digital design showcases.
Mr. Ambrose Walker, STEM Lab Coordinator, emphasized the lab’s role in preparing students for a technology-driven global economy. “This lab ensures that the next generation of Edwardians will not only dream big but also have the skills and resources to turn those dreams into reality,” he said.

The initiative reinforces St. Edward’s commitment to academic excellence and aligns with national education goals to strengthen STEM learning. The school is inviting alumni and community partners to contribute mentorship, sponsorship, and resources to sustain the lab as a center of innovation and excellence.
