The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, has reaffirmed his dedication to the advancement of African football as he continues to serve on the Organizing Committee of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025.
On Wednesday evening, Kamara joined senior football officials and administrators at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, Uganda, where he witnessed the highly anticipated semi-final encounter between Senegal and Morocco.
The tournament, which brings together some of the continent’s finest home-based players, has been described as a platform for showcasing talent and promoting African football development.

Speaking on his role, Kamara said he is honored to contribute not only as Sierra Leone’s football leader but also as part of a continental body working towards the success of the competition. He noted that participation at this level strengthens Sierra Leone’s presence within African football governance and creates opportunities for building stronger sporting partnerships.

As the championship moves closer to its conclusion, Kamara emphasized his continued commitment to supporting CAF initiatives that aim to expand football’s growth across Africa, while ensuring Sierra Leone remains actively engaged on the continental stage.
