SLFA President Babadi Kamara Provides 10 Free Buses for Fans Traveling to Monrovia for World Cup Qualifier

In another remarkable show of support for Sierra Leonean football fans, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, has personally provided ten (10) free buses to transport supporters to Monrovia, Liberia, ahead of the Leone Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Burkina Faso on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Samuel K. Doe Stadium.

The initiative, fully financed through President Kamara’s personal effort, aims to give more Sierra Leoneans the opportunity to travel and cheer the national team during this crucial encounter. It follows the overwhelming success of the first edition, when four buses were made available for fans a gesture that was widely praised for boosting morale and strengthening fan unity.

This time, the initiative has more than doubled in scale, with two buses assigned per region, allowing greater fan participation from across the country. The expansion underscores President Kamara’s deep commitment to fan engagement and his desire to ensure that supporters remain an integral part of Sierra Leone’s football journey.

Travel Details

The ten buses will depart from various regional locations, with the Southern Arena in Bo serving as the main assembly point. Departure is scheduled for 9:00 AM sharp on matchday.

Upon arrival in Monrovia, fans will gather at the Colony Hotel, where food and match tickets will be distributed before heading to the stadium. After the match, supporters will return to the hotel for another meal before traveling back to Sierra Leone. The final drop-off point will be the Southern Arena in Bo.
