SLFA Appoints New General Secretary and Deputy

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced the appointment of Mr. Mohamed Benson Bawoh as its new General Secretary and Mr. Ishmail Saidu Kanu as Deputy General Secretary, with both appointments taking immediate effect.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the SLFA Executive Committee as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Association’s administrative framework and improve effective football governance across the country.

According to the SLFA, the appointments reflect the Executive Committee’s commitment to enhancing institutional efficiency and supporting the implementation of key strategic objectives aimed at advancing football development nationwide.

The Executive Committee expressed strong confidence in the experience, professionalism, and leadership capabilities of both officials, noting that their combined expertise is expected to contribute significantly to the growth and smooth administration of the game at all levels.

The SLFA further extended its best wishes to Mr. Bawoh and Mr. Kanu as they assume their new responsibilities, expressing optimism that their leadership will support ongoing reforms and development initiatives within Sierra Leonean football.
