The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) informed the national and international public that it appeared before the Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
The hearing follows match officials’ reports and protests filed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation after the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Represented by Secretary General of the FSF and assisted by Attorney Seydou Diagne, the federation presented its case before the disciplinary body. Coach Pape Bouna Thiaw and players Ismaïla Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye were also heard and submitted their defenses.
The CAF Disciplinary Committee has taken the case under advisement and is expected to deliver its decision within 48 hours, according to the Chair of the Committee.
