The dynamic and astute leading Sierra Leonean business tycoon, the Chief Executive Officer of Misheal Kay Construction & Suppliers (SL) Limited, Ibrahim Misheal Kallon has today Sunday 27th September, 2020 introduced a new brand and quality rice supply in the market carries his name “MISH RICE”.
The Mish Rice which is 25% broken was manufactured in India, from a leading manufacturing rice supply company in the World.
Ibrahim Misheal Kallon is a Sierra Leonean business man and a contractor who won government contract through competitive bidding to supply ration for both inmates and officers at the Sierra Leone Correctional Service formerly prison.
The introduction of a new brand rice which carries his name will soon be accessible nationwide at an affordable prices for both 25KG and 50KG white and parboiled bags of rice. This is a clear manifestation that Sierra Leone has competent and capable business people like Misheal Kallon ever ready to be part in contributing in the growth of the country’s economy if only government through National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) continue to enforce the local content policy effectively by awarding major government contracts to its citizens.
Speaking to cross section of the media during the off-loading at Prison Gate, New England Ville in Freetown, the CEO of Misheal Kay Construction & Suppliers (SL) Limited, Ibrahim Misheal Kallon disclosed that Prison Department was the first to access his new brand rice supplied in Sierra Leone as the contractor supplying rice to the institution for both inmates and officers.
He thanked the ‘New Direction’ government of President Julius Maada Bio and NPPA for creating the enabling platform to award contracts to any Sierra Leonean who wins government contract through national or international competitive biddings.
As we all know since independent, Sierra Leone economy has been left in the hands of foreign business people receiving all government contracts thereby determining the status of the country’s economy.
