The Office of the President has announced the immediate suspension of Honourable Justice Allan B. Halloway, Judge of the Superior Court of Judicature, pending the outcome of a Disciplinary Tribunal investigating his conduct.
In an official letter addressed to the Chief Justice’s Chambers, State House confirmed that the action is taken pursuant to Section 137(6) of the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone (Act No. 6 of 1991) and follows the advice of the Judicial and Legal Service Commission at its meeting on 5th September 2025.
The suspension will remain in effect until the Disciplinary Tribunal concludes its investigation.
A separate order issued on 16 September 2025 by Chief Justice and JLSC Chairman, Honourable Justice Komba Kamanda, confirmed that Justice Halloway is interdicted as directed by the President’s letter.
