The Orange Group has launched Orange Microfinances Guinée (OMIG) to offer inclusive and accessible financial services to local populations via their Orange Money account.

This initiative aims to enrich the value proposition for Orange Money customers, by offering services at reduced costs to people excluded from the traditional banking system and to banking customers looking for change.

This new Tik Tak offer in Guinea, which is inspired by the successful experience on the Ivorian market by Orange Bank Africa, allows Orange Money account holders to borrow between 50,000 and 1,500,000 Guinean Francs (GNF) less of 10 seconds, and to subscribe to savings ranging from 10,000 to 50,000,000 GNF, with an annual remuneration of 3%.

Jean-Louis Menann-Kouamé, Managing Director of Orange Bank Africa , declared: “ Through the launch of Orange MicroFinances Guinée, the Orange Group confirms its ambition to become one of the pillars of financial inclusion in Africa, by simplifying people’s access to financial products via mobile.”

Orange Bank Africa provided technical support for the operationalization of Tik Tak in Guinea and is convinced that the offer will have the same impact there as in Ivory Coast, for the economic and social well-being of the populations.

Orange Bank Africa was born from a partnership between the Orange Group and the NSIA bancassurance group, two leading players in their respective markets. The 100% digital bank aims to strengthen financial inclusion in the UEMOA zone, with the aim of improving the quality of life of populations. This is how it gives them simpler access to innovative banking solutions, based on mobile services. The Tik Tak loan, one of the bank’s flagship products, allows customers to receive up to 1,000,000 FCFA in less than 10 seconds on their Orange Money account. Orange Bank Africa draws on the expertise of the Orange Group in financial services, as evidenced by the success of Orange Money in more than 17 African countries since 2008.
