Orange Sierra Leone’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and advancing Sierra Leone’s digital transformation was on full display during a courtesy visit by its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Madam Aïcha Touré, to the Ministry of Information and Civic Education on Thursday, 29 January 2026, at the Youyi Building in Freetown.
Madam Touré met with Minister Chernor Bah, who congratulated her on her appointment and reaffirmed the Ministry’s support for Orange Sierra Leone’s initiatives in the country. The Minister encouraged her to consider Sierra Leone her home and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and private sector in advancing national development.

“My doors are always open to you and your team at Orange Sierra Leone. Your success will bring us much joy,” Minister Bah said, highlighting the critical role telecommunications plays in promoting access to information, digital inclusion, and civic education.

In response, Madam Touré expressed gratitude for the warm reception and assured the Minister of Orange Sierra Leone’s continued commitment to serving the people of Sierra Leone.

She emphasized the company’s dedication to improving connectivity, enhancing service delivery, and supporting the growth and development of the telecommunications sector.

The visit underscored the shared commitment between Orange Sierra Leone and the government to strengthen cooperation and support national development priorities.
