BACKGROUND
Narnia Educational Group is an Organization based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. We have an early learning center that caters to young children. We support families/ communities by caring for and nurturing children. Narnia is accredited by the Network Teaching Children [NTC – an educational program approved by MENSA]. Licensed to train/ instruct and supervise other institutions in Africa.

Narnia is focused on creating synergies between children, families, communities and caregivers by offering tailored seminars, workshops and trainings.
Job Duties
As a centre Early Childhood/Nursery Teacher of Narnia Daycare and Preschool you are
expected to carry out the following responsibilities.
- Teach the children in the classroom as directed.
- Provide care and protection for assigned children.
- Supervise the children’s play activities by; participating with the children in groupgames, enforcing safety rules, encouraging children to develop positive socialrelationships with each other, classroom staff and with visitors.
- Work with staff to develop each individual child’s potential. Bring to the attention ofthe director special problems in adjustment, learning social and interactions orphysical functioning of individual children.
- Participates in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences and workshops.
- Arrange the environment and prepare supplies for activities. Ensuring thatequipment and supplies are accessible and in good conditions.
- Make daily observations of health of children, reporting conditions that requiredattention.
- Daily report on the learning, growth and development for assigned children
- Generate learning ideas and activities that support the Narnia vision
- Perform related duties as assigned.Supervision
The Early Childhood/Nursery Teacher is supervised by the Administrator and DirectorEducation and Experience
- The ideal candidate should have a degree/diploma in Education.
- The ideal candidate should have a commendable experience in working with childrenor in large teams.
- She must possess Great morals and values, problem solving skills, negotiation skills,team building capabilities, assertiveness, creativity and good leadership skills.
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in the Sierra Leone Job market especially in the area ofteaching young children between the ages of 3 to 5 years.
