After weeks of uncertainty and controversy, Sierra Leonean forward Musa Noah Kamara, popularly known as Musa Tombo, has finally left the country to honour his new deal with a Tunisian club.
I met Musa and his fiancée, Memunatu Kamara (Memzo), at the Freetown International Airport. The couple appeared composed and hopeful, despite the intense public scrutiny that has surrounded his transfer. They stood united and in high spirits as they prepared for the journey ahead.
This move follows weeks of confusion and divided public opinion regarding Musa’s readiness for a fresh start abroad. While critics questioned his mental preparedness, supporters urged patience and encouragement.
Speaking briefly at the airport, Musa said:
“This is a new chapter for me. People can say what they want, but I know what I want, and I’m going to fight for it, by God’s grace.”
Memzo added with a smile:
“We’ve been through a lot, but we’re staying strong and focused.”

Musa’s departure marks a new opportunity to revive his career and prove himself on foreign soil once again. His fans back home remain hopeful that this time, the journey will be successful.
“Wish us a safe flight as we depart for Casablanca…” Musa concluded.
