As anticipation builds for Thursday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone’s national team, Leone Stars, intensified their preparations on Tuesday with a focused classroom technical session.

The session, held under the supervision of Head Coach Mohamed Kallon, included video analysis of past matches, tactical breakdowns, and strategy discussions aimed at sharpening the players’ mental and technical readiness. Team bonding exercises were also part of the program to strengthen unity within the squad ahead of the high-stakes encounter.

Coach Kallon underscored the importance of attention to detail at this stage of the qualifiers, stressing that the players must approach the match with discipline and collective focus.

“Every detail matters at this stage,” Kallon said. “We are studying, learning, and preparing together so we can step onto the pitch fully ready to represent our nation with pride.”

The Leone Stars are determined to secure maximum points in front of home fans, as a win would provide a crucial boost in their bid to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
