A high court judge of the Judiciary of Sierra Leone threatened to jail the father of an alleged raped and murdered 5-year-old girl, if he shows emotions while testifying during a court hearing on Monday in Freetown.
Judge John Bosco Allieu warned Abubakarr Saccoh not to show emotions as he testified on the witness stand regarding the death of Kadija Madinatu Saccoh.
“Mister, listen, you are here to give evidence. If you become sentimental, I will send you to jail,” Jugde Allieu said.
The judge made the threat in an angry manner as Saccoh, the father, was explaining to the court circumstances that led to the deceased girl residing with the two accused persons.
Mariama Sajor Barrie and Ibrahim Bah are currently standing trial on two counts of conspiracy to murder, and murder.
The prosecution alleges the two accused, last June, in western Freetown, conspired with unknown persons to murder the 5-year-old.
