One of the leading APC politicians in the country Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Kamara, alias Jagaban was adorned with fervor and jubilation in Blama, as he entered the Eastern town where he onced campaigned against the ruling SLPP and changed the vote in Blama.
Sheik Jagaban made a grand entrance to attend the fortieth-day ceremony of the late Paramount Chief Hon. Mohamed Dhafie Benya of Small Bo Chiefdom.
Alhaji Sheik Jagaban was born in Blama to the late Alhaji Amara Kamara and Haja Hawanatu Kamara, a revered Chieftaincy Family in Blama.
Residents of Blama, a tight-knit community in Kenema accorded Jagaban mass welcome over the weekend as he was returning to his roots from abroad after the June 24 elections. The ceremony was marked with a noticeable sense of unity amongst the people who divorced partisanship politics and embraced a son of the soil.
In a poignant message, Jagaban pledged to contribute to the development of Blama Town by announcing plans to establish the region’s first sugar factory. This initiative promises economic opportunities and growth for the community.
Jagaban’s commitment to Blama’s progress has ignited hope amongst the people who eagerly anticipated the positive transformation that this venture may bring.
Addressing the crowds, Jagaban shared words of solace and encouragement saying that “The death of Paramount Chief Dhafie is not a loss rather a blessing as the Almighty Allah will send more mercy to comfort his people”. These words echoed deeply with those present.
As the ceremony concludes, Jagaban expressed his heartfelt gratitude and offered prayers for those in attendance including the spiritual leaders who guided the proceedings, and the entire Blama Small -Bo Chiefdom.
His visit did not only strengthened the bond between him and his hometown but also rekindled renewed hope amongst the people of Blama.
