IPAM to Host International Business Seminar Tomorrow

The Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) which is the Business and Management School of the University of Sierra Leone will be hosting its annual International Business Seminar at the Freetown City Hall, Wallace Johnson Street, scheduled for today 24th September 2021 at 10:00 am.

The event will feature different debatable topics related to international business/investment in Sierra Leone.

James Kollie, Lecturer–in-Charge/National Coordinator (Extramural Dept) disclosed that the current pandemic has disturbed international business across the globe. He noted that the topic for this year’s Seminar is: Investing in Post-COVID Sierra Leone: Prospects and Challenges.  

He added that there is no better time to have such a topic than this time and that “it is high time we have people from the academia, students, experts in both private and public sectors to chart the investment post-COVID period in Sierra Leone.

Mr. Kollie further revealed that the seminar will make students abreast with the challenges and prospects in such endeavours. “Various speakers have accepted to do presentations on topics related to the theme of the seminar,” he said.

He further stated that students from the Bachelor and Diploma programs offering International Business are also organizing a seminar in collaboration with the institution.

Hawantu Jalloh, a student from the Financial Services expressed her excitement to wittiness this wonderful seminar.

Theresa Sawanneh informed this Press that they are more than ready to attend this year’s summit so as to be better informed on Investment Opportunities after COVID and how such a country will be able to handle such a period.
