The Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone, is gearing up to mark a historic milestone—its 45th Anniversary Celebration—scheduled for Wednesday, 5th November 2025.

This year’s anniversary is being commemorated under the theme “Strategic Repositioning, Rebranding and Transformation of the College,” reflecting the institute’s ongoing commitment to innovation, academic excellence, and national development over the past four and a half decades.

As part of the day’s activities, a flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at the main campus on Tower Hill, Freetown, beginning at 9:00 a.m., symbolizing unity, pride, and institutional heritage. The celebration will continue with a symposium at the Freetown City Council Hall on Wallace Johnson Street at 10:30 a.m., bringing together students, faculty, and distinguished guests to reflect on IPAM’s journey and vision for the future.

The administration has extended an open invitation to all undergraduate and postgraduate students to actively participate in the celebration, emphasizing that their presence and engagement are crucial to the success of this momentous event.

For 45 years, IPAM has stood as a pillar of academic and professional excellence, producing leaders and administrators who continue to shape Sierra Leone’s public and private sectors. This anniversary promises to be both a celebration of the past and a reaffirmation of the institution’s role in shaping the nation’s future.
