The Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) at the University of Sierra Leone successfully hosted a three-day Entrepreneurship and Management Curriculum Design Workshop, facilitated by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The workshop brought together participants from five African countries Sierra Leone, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya to strengthen entrepreneurship education through collaborative curriculum design. Attendees focused on identifying gaps in practical skills, integrating experiential learning approaches, and developing draft action points for curriculum improvement. Partnerships and knowledge-sharing agreements were also established for future collaboration.

In his welcome remarks, IPAM Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Ezekiel Kalvin Duramany-Lakkoh thanked MIT and participating countries for choosing IPAM. He emphasized the workshop’s relevance to curriculum development and expressed optimism about the impact on entrepreneurship education across the region.

The College Management also commended the IPAM Centre of Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEEI) for organizing the successful event, which is expected to strengthen teaching, learning, and innovation in the business college.
