The Government of Sierra Leone has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Sierra Leone-Quality Essential Health Services and Systems Support Project (QEHSSSP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include: Develop Training of Trainers (ToT) training Manual; conduct the training of trainers on the new curriculum for training health care providers on caring for survivors of gender-based violence. The training will highlight, where applicable, measures to ensure adolescent-friendly services.
The duration of the assignment is One month and it expected to start date in April 2023. The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment can be obtained via email to msesay@mohsihpau.gov.sl or at the address given below.
The Integrated Heath Projects Administration Unit now invites qualified individuals (Consultants) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information (academic/ professional certificates and updated CVs) which demonstrate that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting and selection criteria shall be based on comparing the following qualification and experience of candidates. The most qualified candidate will be hired:
- Advanced University Degree or Equivalent in Public Health, Medicine, Psychology, Nursing, Social work or other related field;
- At least eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in the area of GBV prevention and response programming in low- and medium-income settings;
- Strong understanding of the WHO Clinical handbook: Healthcare for women subjected to intimate partner violence or sexual violence is desired;
- Demonstrated experience in delivering GBV training packages;
• Strong background in capacity building of healthcare service providers;
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016 and revised in November 2017, August 2018 and November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection Method set out in the “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016 and revised in November 2017, August 2018 and November 2020.
