The 10th Annual National Girls Empowerment Forum, organized by the Kids Advocacy Network (KAN), will be held from 10th–14th October 2025 at the Sierra Leone Parliament.
This milestone edition will bring together girls, women leaders, policymakers, and advocates to champion girls’ empowerment, leadership, and participation in national development.
Among the distinguished speakers is Haja Isatu Kamara, Southern Regional Chairperson of the All People’s Congress (APC). Known for her grassroots mobilization and strong advocacy for women in governance, Kamara’s participation is expected to inspire young girls to pursue leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to decision-making at all levels.

Throughout her political career, Madam Kamara has been a consistent voice for women’s inclusion, equal opportunities, and the advancement of girls’ education. Her role as a speaker underscores the forum’s commitment to engaging diverse voices across political and regional lines to promote unity and empowerment.
Now in its tenth year, the National Girls Empowerment Forum has become one of Sierra Leone’s most influential platforms for nurturing the next generation of female leaders. This year’s edition will be hosted under the Distinguished Grand Chief Patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, Former Vice President of Liberia, and Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone, making it a historic gathering.

The program will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, mentorship sessions, and interactive activities—all designed to equip girls with the confidence, knowledge, and skills they need to lead.
