The Government of Sierra Leone has officially cleared 37 members of the All People’s Congress (APC) party of any criminal investigation, declaring them free to resume their normal business activities. The decision follows a review by the Resolution 4 Oversight Committee under the Agreement for National Unity (ANU).

The announcement, issued through the Office of the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice on 12th August 2025, confirmed that the individuals listed are not subjects of any ongoing criminal probes and may carry on their personal and professional affairs without interruption.

The clearance is part of the government’s commitment to fully implement the provisions of the ANU, which was signed on 18th October 2023 between the Government of Sierra Leone and the opposition APC.

Among those cleared are Idrissa Hamid Kamara, Insp. Sullay Deen Sesay, Victor Vandy Kamara, Sgt. Kanneh Thoronka, Abdulai Mansaray (Rambo), and several other former security officers, party figures, and community representatives.

Attorney General and Minister of Justice Alpha Sesay, Esq., who signed the notice, emphasized that the decision reflects the government’s dedication to fairness, political stability, and fostering national unity.
