The family of the late Honourable Ernest Dura Koroma, former Member of Parliament for Kambia District, in collaboration with the All People’s Congress (APC) Party and the Parliament of Sierra Leone, has announced the funeral and laying-out arrangements for the respected statesman.
The official schedule is as follows:
Friday, 17th October 2025 – Civic Laying-Out
Parliament of Sierra Leone: 10:00 a.m.
APC Party Headquarters: 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, 18th October 2025 – Conveyance to Hometown
The remains of the late Honourable Koroma will be transported to his hometown, Madina Town in Kambia District. A vigil will be held in the evening to honour his life and service.
Sunday, 19th October 2025 – Funeral and Communion Service
Venue: Wesleyan Church, Madina Town
Time: Morning service
Interment: Final burial will take place at Bayandee Village, Tonko Limba Chiefdom, Kambia District.
The announcement concludes with a tribute: “May the soul of our beloved Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma rest in perfect peace, and may his legacy of service continue to inspire generations to come. Gone but never forgotten.”
