Freetownians say they are convinced that with Dr. Samura Kamara as flag bearer for APC and eventually as President of Sierra Leone after he would have won the June 24, 2023 presidential elections, would provide the right leadership to put the country on the right trajectory which has been missing the last four years. 

This widespread acclamation came during the recent opening of the foot bridge in the Dwarzack community was an opportunity for Dr. Samura Kamara to speak of the hopes and dreams of the citizens. 

He spoke of national cohesion and the APC’s vision of unifying the nation to ensure national development.

Dr. Samura Kamara with other APC heavyweights – Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh, Mayor Yvonne Aki Sawyerr and Mohamed aka Jagaban opened the bridge by proclaiming that the bridge was a symbol of hope, faith, and progress in the community. He stated that it was not only a form of infrastructure built to benefit the local community, but also a bridge that connected his party to the people and would facilitate greater dialogue, understanding and respect between them.

Dr. Samura Kamara then rallied the people around his platform and discussed the party’s vision for a unified nation. He noted that development was not possible without national cohesion. He argued that only through unity would any development plan be successful, and only the APC had the necessary tools and skills to bring about this harmony.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Samura Kamara discussed the faith and trust that the local community had placed in his party. He highlighted that they were the only party that could provide national development initiatives and inceptions necessary to fulfil the dream of a unified nation. 

Ultimately, he used his speech to emphasize the importance of national cohesion and development and to convince the people that his party is the only one that could bring meaningful progress to communities like Dwarzack. His message that the bridge not only signified progress in the community but also political engagement with the people was a powerful one. It is one that resonates with the locals and ensures the success of the APC.
