Representatives from the FIFA Africa Office, including El Hadji Wack Diop, Head of the Africa Office, and Fatou Camara, Development Manager, have commenced a three-day induction meeting with the newly elected President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, alongside his Executive Committee and Management staff.
The session, held at the SLFA Secretariat in Freetown, aims to bring the new leadership team up to speed on FIFA’s operational frameworks and development priorities, with a focus on the FIFA Forward 3.0 program. This latest phase of FIFA’s global initiative seeks to strengthen football development through increased investment, measurable impact, and transparent fund management.

Contributing to the meeting, FIFA Finance Consultant Light Congomanyi provided expert guidance on financial governance, accountability mechanisms, procurement, conflict-of-interest management, and subsidy guidelines for subsidiary beneficiaries.

Topics of discussion also included the FIFA Financial Governance Guide, the structure and objectives of the FIFA Forward program, and the role of the Dakar Regional Office in supporting member associations.
The induction concludes on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, with a field visit to the ongoing modernization works at the SLFA Technical Center, a flagship project for football infrastructure development in Sierra Leone.
