Sunday 17th April, 2022 has gone down in history as the day East End Lions FC aka the Killers, humiliated arch-rivals Bo Rangers 3-1.
The match which attracted hundreds of fans of the two team was full with fireworks and hat-tricks, with players of both teams demonstrating their football prowess in the pitch of the Wusum Stadium in Makeni City.
It was indeed a show of professional football by especially East End Lions. It was indeed a show of professional football by especially East End Lions players and Bo Rangers
It was a thrilling match which saw the better side East End Lions emerging victorious as they left no stone unturned to give Bo Rangers a run for their money.
Almost halfway into the first half two goals were scored by Alie Conteh aka Nzozi and farther into the first half the third goal sailed into the Bo Rangers net from a shot delivered by East End Lion’s Masalaki.
East End Lions goal keeper conceded one goal but that was all he allowed to pass him.
What this goes to show is that the SLFA should allow football to be played on the pitch, rather than dishing out free points to teams by the Premier League Board. This is definitely not the best way to develop football in the country as it ends with some teams getting points they do not deserve.
East Lion FC fans were overwhelmed with jubilation when the full-time whistle blew signaling the end of the match. Bo Rangers FC were rudely disappointed despite being top in the Premier League table.
