The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President, Babadi Kamara, officially handed over medals and the championship trophy to East End Lions, winners of the 2025 Leone Rock Premier League.
The crowning ceremony, held at the Approved School Field in the east of Freetown, followed a thrilling 1-1 draw between the champions and Stars Sports Academy. The “Killers” had already sealed the title with 69 points ahead of the final matchday.

In his statement, President Kamara congratulated East End Lions on their triumph and commended all participating clubs for their efforts and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

He further acknowledged the invaluable support of sponsors, particularly lead sponsor Leone Rock Metal Group, for their unwavering commitment to football development in Sierra Leone.
He also praised the Government of Sierra Leone for its consistent support in funding not only the Premier League but also the national teams, especially the Leone Stars. Kamara expressed delight over SLFA’s partnership with FIFA+, which broadcast all league matches live this season, giving Sierra Leonean football global visibility.

In a landmark gesture, he announced a cash prize of Le 500,000 for the champions, underscoring a new era of accountability and timely rewards in Sierra Leonean football.
“Our executive is here to run football with transparency and credibility,” Kamara affirmed, drawing loud cheers from jubilant fans.
Dignitaries at the event included NSA Executive Director Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, Ministry of Sports Director Haroun Korji, Premier League Board Chairman Justice Mark Ngegba, SLFA Vice President 1 Ali Badara Tarawallie, and members of the SLFA Executive.

With this victory, East End Lions will represent Sierra Leone in the CAF Champions League, while runners-up Bhantal FC will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup later this year.
