Dr. Samura Kamara Thrills Sierra Leoneans In London

The next president of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Samura Kamara has on Sunday 7th May 2023, thrilled and gained the support of thousands of Sierra Leoneans in the United Kingdom, as well as other parts of Europe.

Dr. Samura Kamara spoke emotionally about his plans for the people of Sierra Leone. Dr. Kamara is the presidential candidate of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) and the main challenger of the incumbent President Julius Maada Bio in the june 24 elections.

Thousands of people both Sierra Leoneans and foreign dignitaries gathered in a jam-packed banquet hall to listen and interact with the development economist turned politician who many believe will be the next President of the Republic of Sierra Leone. Dr. Samura Kamara explained his plan and readiness to work in order to save Sierra Leone from it present state of economic morass.

The interaction at the JK Hall South-East London was not just very lively and cordial but Dr. Samura Kamara was able to share some of his manifesto plans for the people of Sierra Leone.

The APC leader used the opportunity to call on the Sierra Leone diaspora not to give up on Sierra Leone saying that Sierra Leone needs them now than at any other time. He emphasized on the role of the remittances coming from the Diaspora and in supporting livelihoods and boosting the economy.

He further stated that there was a lot of expertise from the diaspora if the country harnessed such expertise well without political or ethnic consideration, they will be of immense help in building back the country. He promised to work and collaborate with the Diaspora for the development of Sierra Leone.

The APC presidential candidate’s message was well received by many who believed that Dr. Samura Kamara spoke from the heart.

Dr Kamara’s forthrightness and honesty appears to have endeared him to millions of Sierra Leoneans around the globe, as he has been pictured as a ‘godfather’ who means well for the nation.

In all his engagements, Dr. Samura emphasised that he was ready to transform Sierra Leone and to rebuild national cohesion.

Dr. Samura Kamara was accompanied by key stakeholders of the party including the APC Deputy National Chairman, Amb. Alhaji Dr. Osman Foday Yansanneh, comrade Dr. Richard Conteh, comrade Alimamy Petito Koroma, Comrade Leonard Balogun Koroma and Comrade Rtd. Major Alfred Paolo Conteh amongst many others.
