Advocate, Litigator, Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of Sierra Leone Wara Serry-Kamal has condemned the 2024 Sierra Leone Bar Elections held on Sunday 18th May 2024 in Kenema.

According to Lawyer Serry-Kamal, there was no Sierra Leone Bar Association (SLBA) Election held. She described the outgoing Executive of the Swallow Executive as a disgrace and the sham election shows the gross malaise in Sierra Leone country..

The SLBA Presidential Aspirant statement reads “Our nation today sunk to a new low aided by lawyers and presided Over by the current ACC Commissioner.- Francis Ben Kaifala. We have to fight for our democracy,”

However, In an Interview with Voice of America, the ACC Commissioner denies allegations he hijacked the weekend leadership election of the Sierra Leone Bar Association in favor of a candidate friendly to the government.
