Dauda Junior Bangura Recognised Among Sierra Leone’s 50 Most Influential Students

Dauda Junior Bangura, a student of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), has been honoured as one of the 50 Most Influential Students in Sierra Leone.

The recognition came during an award ceremony organised by the Girl Pikin for Betteh Foundation in Freetown on November 22, 2025, at the Freetown City Hall Auditorium.

The Foundation praised Dauda for his tireless contribution among 18 nominated universities across the country. According to the organisers, he has shown strong leadership, commitment, and a positive attitude towards change. They described him as a “change maker” within his university, community, and the nation.

The certificate presented to him highlights his outstanding achievements, his dedication to academic excellence, and his impact in both academic and social spaces. Dauda was appreciated for the service he provides to others and for being a role model to many young people.

Speaking after receiving the award, Dauda expressed deep gratitude to the Girl Pikin for Betteh Foundation for recognising his efforts. He also thanked his lecturers, colleagues, family, and friends for their continuous support. He said the award will encourage him to keep working hard and contribute more to national development.

The Girl Pikin for Betteh Foundation introduced the 50 Most Influential Student Award to motivate and uplift students who are making a difference in their communities and by extension the country. By celebrating young leaders like Dauda, the organisation aims to inspire more students to take on leadership roles and utilise their talents to improve society.

Dauda’s achievement is a proud moment for IPAM and a shining example for students across Sierra Leone.
